Visit with the Vets Toss N Catch Competition

Last weekend Koda and I (I being Paul Richardson, your friendly neighborhood Web Administrator.) headed to Norman, OK to compete in our first Toss N Catch (TC) competition. Despite a chilly start, both literally and figuratively, Koda and I finished in 4th place in the Amateur class and 7th place in the advanced class. Link to pictures in the blog post. Reminder: Paws In the Park

OTCB will be at the ‘Paws in the Park’ event on Saturday October 10th at Jo Allyn Lowe Park. OTCB will be available to answer dog training questions at the ‘Ask a Trainer’ booth and will be giving a dog obedience demo. We look forward to seeing you there.

County Fair Obedience Demo

If you have been following OTCB on our blog you know that we headed to the Washington County Free Fair in Dewey, Oklahoma to give an obedience demonstration and to spread the word about our Fall classes. I would like to say the event was standing room only, but that would be less than honest. We did get the chance to showcase some basic obedience skills to handful of folks who did seem intrigued and maybe even a little impressed. Pictures!

Obedience Demo

Join OTCB this Friday, August 28th at the Washington County Free Fair. We will be demonstrating basic obedience skills and promoting our Fall Classes.

Disc Dog: Frisbee Fun

Second Chance Animal Sanctuary will be hosting a dog day event at Reaves Park in Norman, OK. The official name of the event is unclear to me, but the following event has Koda and I very excited. I already have this event on my calendar. This will be Koda and I’s first Disc Dog competition.

Good Luck Lyn!

OTCB’s own Lyn Johnson will be participating in this years WCFO 7th Annual International Freestyle Conference. She will be joined by dog teams from literally all over the world. I believe in our discussion she mentioned being partnered with or attending a seminar with someone from as far away as South Africa. That is impressive.

Competitions will be held on Thursday, August 20 & Friday, August 21.
Spectators welcome!!
10 am - 4 pm,  with a lunch break from 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Lyn Johnson and her Corgi, Cooper, will be performing a Novice Heelwork-to-Music routine to music from "Man From Snowy River" both days.
Lyn & Cooper will also be performing a Beginner Pairs Routine with friend Bobbi Howell and her Papillon, Libby, to "Movin' Right Along" by the Muppets both days.

New OTCB Website

Welcome to the new Obedience Training Club of Bartlesville (OTCB) website. Along with our sites new look we have expanded the sites scope. OTCB hopes this sites server as a valuable resource to promote responsible dog ownership and training. This site will strive to keep you informed about training classes, events and seminars in Bartlesville and throughout the state of Oklahoma.

Visit our site frequently as our members will be sharing about dog training, life with a dog(s), club activities and more via our
blog. Our links site is currently filled with helpful links to local and national resources with information about dog sports, organizations and training. Over the next few months our members site will introduce our members and their canine counterparts.

We hope you enjoy our new site and find it entertaining and useful. If you have any questions or comments feel free to use our
contact form to communicate to our members and/or to sign up to our email distribution. Rest assured that we too dislike SPAM. Our email distribution list is used sparingly and primarily for class and event notifications. OTCB’s primary medium for communication is our website.
