Did You Know

Did you know that owning a pet can be beneficial to your health? There have been many studies showing that owning a pet can reduce blood pressure. Even something as simple as watching fish in an aquarium can drop blood pressure by several points. Patients who own pets have a longer survival rate following open heart surgery than those who do not own pets. Pets can be beneficial for people with certain types of psychological disorders, particularly anxiety and depression. Dogs can detect seizures, allowing epileptic patients to get themselves to a safe place before a seizure occurs. Dogs have also been found to detect drops in blood sugar in diabetic patients, warning them to check their sugar levels and eat something. Patients report increased independence and improved ability to cope with their disease by living with such animals. Read More...

County Fair Obedience Demo

If you have been following OTCB on our blog you know that we headed to the Washington County Free Fair in Dewey, Oklahoma to give an obedience demonstration and to spread the word about our Fall classes. I would like to say the event was standing room only, but that would be less than honest. We did get the chance to showcase some basic obedience skills to handful of folks who did seem intrigued and maybe even a little impressed. Pictures!

Website Updates: Statistics

I just wanted to share that www.obediencetrainingclubofbartlesville.com has gone international. Our site recorded hits from visitors from Spain and Hong Kong! How cool is that? I will admit it was probably not intentional, but exciting nonetheless.

Also very interesting to this webmaster is that the state with the second most visits to our site is California. Things that make you go hmm...

Website Updates: Class Prices

Okay, so the layout of the website did not lend itself to easily locating the prices for our classes. Hopefully that has been resolved with this round of updates.

Obedience Demo

Join OTCB this Friday, August 28th at the Washington County Free Fair. We will be demonstrating basic obedience skills and promoting our Fall Classes.

Sorry for the last minute notice, but this opportunity just kind of showed up.

Contact Form Bugs

Found a few bugs in the transition of the new site from the development host to the primary host. Those issues seem to be resolved. Simply put contact form was not working. The form was not written for a windows host and therefore had to be redone. The form is now functioning, but has lost one bit of functionality that I will be researching.

Fall Classes

Fall classes will start September 17. For more information check out our class description and schedule pages.
